Floral prints and motifs have been a favorite interior design trend throughout the ages. From the rich toned classical floral paintings of the old masters to modern art – flowers have always been prominent and beloved decor theme. From fabric, to wallpaper, to fresh floral arrangements there are so many ways to use floral art to decorate interiors.
I must have flowers, always and always ~ Claude Monet
Digital Floral Backgrounds
One of my most favorite blooms of all are the huge, delicate petals of the peony. I recently took the opportunity to create some painterly style peony images that are now available for purchase through my online store. They can be used as digital backgrounds for photographers, wallpapers for your computer, tablet or phone, or downloaded and printed on any item you choose – a new phone case, maybe a tote bag, art cards or scrapbooking projects, or whatever your creative mind can imagine! I chose to have one of the peony images enlarged on canvas to decorate my office – it brings me joy to see the lovely blooms all day long – and bonus….they will never fade!
The digital files in the Peony Collection may be used to print your own projects, or you can contact Alana Lee Photography to purchase Fine Art Prints or Canvas that are ready to hang on your wall! All prints purchased through Alana Lee Photography are 100% archival quality, using museum grade inks, paper and mats giving your gorgeous art that will last a lifetime. The image below shows how you can combine beautiful botanical images with a custom portrait session. These prints can then be used to create a wall gallery to decorate an entryway or mudroom with a modern farmhouse look.
You can also use floral backgrounds in your photography portraits to add interest to your studio backgrounds – the great part about digital backdrops is they are less expensive and take up less storage space in your studio than canvas or fabric alternatives! Using digital backgrounds gives you endless creative possibilities and your imagination is your only limit. Not sure how to add a digital background in Photoshop? Check out a tutorial HERE.
